Jesus H. Ink and inkjet collage on Cardstock 11 x 8.5 2009
Stephen Tompkins.
I was just surfing the web and came across this talented man! His style of work is very…. interesting. It got me thinking and is currently inspiring me to make a series of paintings using famous icons and instead of using lines, like the picture above, I’m going to fill the face with a bunch of words and little doodles. BUT I’m going to keep the icon in mind and not just draw random things but connect it with what the icon is about. I’m excited to start and on a creative rampage!!!
